Dr. Jörg Schrittwieser

Dr. Jörg Schrittwieser is an esteemed researcher in the field of biocatalysis, with a particular focus on enzyme-driven synthesis and multi-enzyme cascade systems. He completed his PhD in Chemistry at the University of Graz with Prof. Wolfgang Kroutil, where his thesis focused on the chemo-enzymatic asymmetric synthesis of alkaloids. Following his doctoral studies, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher with Prof. Frank Hollmann at Delft University of Technology. Currently, he serves as a staff scientist at the University of Graz, where he obtained his habilitation in Organic Chemistry in 2024 and continues to contribute to research in biocatalysis and green chemistry. Dr. Schrittwieser has authored numerous high-impact publications and has received several awards, including the “Karl Schlögl”-Prize of the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
